Rocket meets Frank. The very first thing we did with Rocket, even before he arrived at his new home, was take him to our local pet store for a good bath. He looked so unsure during his bath, but we reassured him throughout the process, and he quickly returned to his happy, energetic self. Now clean and smelling much better, although the extent of his cuts and scars were even more obvious, Rocket was ready to come to his new home. Once we arrived, we needed to introduce him to Frankenstein, our Boxer/Basset rescue mix. Frankenstein had been living with us for about 8 years at this time. Frank, as we call him, is a gentle, loving soul. He was very comfortable being the object of our attention, but also enjoys the company of other dogs. We had suspected an easy introduction and were very happy to see the two “make friends” very quickly. Life changed for Frank that day…it changed for all of us! Now, it was time to start training…
